British Sandwich Week

Celebrate the ultimate go to British food with us. British Sandwich Week is from the 19^th of May until the 26^th of May. Sandwiches are great to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner. So why not try out one of our delicious sandwiches this week?

The iconic British sandwich got its name from John Montagu the 4^th Earl of Sandwich, who used to order cold beef between slices of bread so he was not disturbed from his card games. The sandwich began to catch on and it became a British favourite; as an easy, quick and convenient meal.

In Britain alone we purchase over 3.5 billion sandwiches a year, so why not try out one of our delicious sandwiches to celebrate this week? Our Deli Bar serves sandwiches to eat in or take away. Try our extremely popular chicken, bacon, avocado & mayonnaise on either a white roll, multigrain roll or a rustic baguette.

Or try one of our delicious artisan sandwiches from our Little Budworth coffee shop. The Thieves Moss sandwich is one of our popular sandwiches on the menu consisting of flat iron steak, onions, rocket & Mrs Darlington’s creamed horseradish.
