Introducing our June ‘Cheese of the Month’; Char Coal Cheese. This unusual but delicious cheese is made at Lymm Bank Farm in Lincolnshire and is a creamy mature Cheddar blended with charcoal and encased in a black wax. It is the first and only charcoal Cheddar cheese, and was the winner of ‘Best New Idea’ at the Farm Shop and Deli show in 2014. Here at The Hollies we also have the ‘Flaming Char Coal’, a creamy mature Cheddar blended with charcoal and chilli, and the ‘Smokey Char Coal’ which is a smoked cheddar blended with charcoal.
