Mrs Darlington and family have been producing high quality curds, jams, chutneys, marmalades and sauces for over 30 years, the main aim being to craft delicious products with a truly homemade taste. It all started back in 1981 when the farm found itself with too many eggs. Marion Darlington did not want the eggs to go to waste and so made a small batch of lemon curd in her farmhouse kitchen near Shavington, Cheshire. The family business grew and eventually the farmhouse became too small, meaning they had to relocate to a bigger premises in Crewe in 1992. Today, Darlington & Daughters remains a family concern, with youngest daughter Wendy joining the team, who has developed her own range of delicious cooking sauces. Other daughter, Sarah Darlington, also has her own range of chutneys and mustards. Since first entering the Great Taste Awards in 2005, Darlington’s have won many awards across the extensive range of over 70 products!

The Hollies Farm Shop stock an extensive range of Mrs Darlington’s products, including all our best sellers – legendary lemon curd, sweet apple chutney, raspberry jam, medium cut orange marmalade, pickled onions in malt vinegar, bramley apple sauce and English mustard – yum!
