National BBQ Week 2018
Come rain or shine Britain loves a barbecue! Whether we are cooking under glorious sun beams or under an umbrella in the rain, we can’t resist the smell of charcoal burning and meat sizzling. Our Butchery departments work hard all year round to bring you the freshest and tastiest fully traceable meats, creating a fabulous array of products on their counter for you to take home, continuously developing new products in line with the seasons.
With two Bank Holidays AND National BBQ Week this May we are keeping our fingers crossed for some fine weather! National BBQ Week starts this year on the 28th May and goes through to the beginning of June so there should hopefully be plenty of opportunity to get your BBQs fired up!
Our Butchery team have a wide range of award winning homemade sausages and burgers in the counter. They also have developed a range of steak and red onion gluten free burgers and some gluten free Lincolnshire sausages. Alongside the usual salt and pepper chicken kebabs, king beef kebabs, Hawaiian pork and pineapple kebabs and king beef kebabs they also now have a new Bangkok marinated chicken and pork kebab with kiwi and lime and some extra large ultimate kebabs that come with a mix of beef, lamb and pork.
All of The Hollies steaks are aged in-house for at least 28 days which gives them improved tenderness and a unique flavour. Why not try one for yourself?
The new fish counter at Little Budworth brings a multitude of new options for your BBQ. Most of our fresh fish can be cooked on a BBQ and you can ask our skilled team for advice on how to cook it. Fish kebabs are now on sale and can also be made to order with your chosen fish and marinated in various flavours.

For National BBQ Week our Coffee Shop team at Lower Stretton, with the help from Kevin in the Butchery, will have BBQ style dishes on their daily specials. Try the baby back pork ribs in a sticky bbq sauce with chunky chips and grilled corn on the cob or the shredded pulled bbq pork burger with chips and coleslaw.
