The Hollies Farm Shop Polo trophy 2013
The sun shone for us, the champagne flowed and the horses pounded up and down the field; an afternoon at Cheshire Polo Club yesterday was wonderful. Raising money and awareness for St Luke’s Hospice, The Hollies Farm Shop Polo Trophy was a great success, through the raffling of a Hollies luxury hamper and also a night in a Hollies Forest Lodge, plus the profits from the bar. We are happy that we reached nearly £400 in one afternoon, with the support of fabulous people. The Hollies marquee at Cheshire Polo Club St Luke’s is an adult Hospice that cares for people from mid and south Cheshire suffering from cancer and other life threatening illnesses. They are a non-profit making organisation, funded by voluntary contributions and the local Clinical Commissioning Groups . They offer treatment, care, advice and support to many seriously ill people and their families every year. Ewan (aged 3), the fourth generation Hollies-family member, presented The Hollies Farm Shop trophy to the winners of the polo match, a job that he took very seriously. Polo trophy presentation Devonshire Bakery cooked up a delicious hog roast, so good, many had to go back for more! Over a 100 of us lapped up the sunshine as 3 matches were played over the afternoon. Our amazing team looked after everyone very well. The Team supporting the polo Throughout the summer, Cheshire Polo Club is free to watch every Saturday and Sunday.
