Taste Cheshire Awards Shortlist

Monday, March 18th, 2019

We are so excited to reach the finals of this year’s Taste Cheshire awards in the category Local Produce Shop of the Year! Thank you to everyone who nominated us; we are so proud of what we do and so pleased that our customers feel the same way! Alongside our own range of our own homemade products, we stock products from some of the best producers in Cheshire and our local suppliers list is now well over 75!

We hear that a staggering 44,000 votes cast this year. Taste Cheshire CEO Stephen Wundke was thrilled with the response and says, “Every year now for two decades the people of Cheshire have been voting for their favourite places in these awards and this year more than ever they have cast their votes. Our special thanks to our sponsors of each award without whom we wouldn’t be able to continue to stage these awards. Each year, at our Presentation Dinner, when we crown our champions, we get to see just how important these are to those within the industry. It is very satisfying seeing so many people all together at the very top of their profession.”

In the next stage we will be mystery shopped by industry experts who will rank the top 3 in each category as Gold, Silver and Bronze winners. After winning in this category last year, we are keeping our fingers crossed to retain our Local Produce Shop of the Year title!

This year, Taste Cheshire have introduced 3 Food and Drink Producer Awards categories and we are thrilled to see lots of our fabulous local producers in the short list! Good luck to Big 5 Catering, Clotton Hall Dairy, Cheshire Farm Ice Cream, The Cheshire Brewhouse, Hunter’s Gin, Peckforton Water, Weetwood Ales & Tatton Brewery!! We’ll see you all on the 24th April!
