Murcia al Vino
Our Cheese of the Month this September is Murcia al Vino. Murcia al Vino is a goat’s milk cheese from the province of Murcia in the south east of Spain, made only with the milk from registered herds of a Murcian breed of goat. The cheese is aged for a minimum of 30-45 days and the natural rind is dipped twice during the ripening process in a local red wine. The cheese absorbs the fruity, slightly spicy flavour and aroma of the wine. Enjoy with a beer, a glass of Spanish red wine or as part of a meal with sweet summer fruits and nuts.
