Team Talk – Lucy Buckham

Tuesday, July 30th, 2019

As part of our 60 year anniversary, we asked past and present team members to share with us their memories of The Hollies through the years.

Here are a few memories from Lucy Buckham who was part of the team from 2002-2005…

From being a small child visiting The Hollies, I have had the pleasure of watching the business grow and working with the team throughout their journey. My first memories of the Little Budworth shop are calling with my parents to buy fresh veg and maybe a jar of jam. Now, I look forward to returning home to Cheshire to peruse the new delicacies at what, in my eyes, is the finest farm shop in the UK.

I started working at The Hollies as a student in my holidays, always looking forward to returning to see the Christmas Barn’s festive treats, or working in the summer sunshine and enjoying the smell of strawberries lining the counter.

I built lasting friendships with the Cowap family and colleagues. This is testament to the team ethos at The Hollies – working together to deliver a first class experience for customers and staff alike.

Since then I’m pleased to have been able to use my career in journalism and PR to continue to work with the team. From writing stories for the local newspaper to helping them achieve the national press coverage they well deserve, it’s always been a pleasure as The Hollies are never short of a success story.

Congratulations on 60 years of well-deserved success and I can’t wait to see where the future takes you next!
