Charity fundraising event
You are invited to join Colin & Wendy Parry for an evening of canopes, fizz, local producers & late night shopping at The Hollies Farm Shop, Little Budworth, on Thursday 7th November 2013, from 5pm-8pm. We hope to raise money and awareness of the Tim Parry Johnathan Ball Foundation, which was setup two years after the IRA bombing of Warrington in 1993 which killed 12 year old Tim Parry and 3 year old Johnathan Ball. 56 other people were injured and many others will carry the mental scars with them for the rest of their lives. No one has ever been prosecuted for killing Tim and Johnathan. Tim’s parents, Colin and Wendy, created the charity and dedicated their lives to building a unique Peace Centre as a living memorial to both Tim and Johnathan. The Peace Centre was opened on the 7th anniversary of the bombing on 20th March 2000. Colin and Wendy’s vision was to create a safe place where young people and adults could learn about the causes and non-violent resolution of conflict, so that they might turn their passion for and commitment to peace, into the skills which could help prevent other atrocities. They wanted to encourage those involved in, or affected by conflict, to find the means of working together to eliminate the prejudice and distrust, which can destroy lives and communities, build meaningful friendships and turn a negative incident into a positive for the future. We hope you can join us on Thursday 7th November 2013, from 5pm, at The Hollies Farm Shop, Little Budworth.
