Christmas at The Hollies begins in October, when The Barn starts brimming with Christmas gifts, card, festive foods, trees and decorations. Throughout November and December the range of produce in the Farm Shop swells with new additions; locally made mince pies, locally sourced turkey and locally produced Christmas preserves are all highly popular options.

During December, January and February the locally grown winter vegetables are especially fresh. Enjoy the field to fork freshness of bunched carrots, beetroot, savoy cabbages, cauliflower, broccoli, leeks, potatoes and purple sprouting broccoli.

The winter rhubarb and marmalade oranges are an absolute must at this time of year, while menus will be packed with crumbles and homemade preserves.

From the start of the December the Greenhouses will be stocked with real Christmas trees, homemade wreathes and winter baskets.

In the Butchery thick winter warmers like casserole meats, mince and stewing steak. Whilst in the Deli be warmed by homemade soups, ready meals and pre-prepared vegetable side dishes.

Brighten your home with primroses, tulips, hyacinth or iris from the flower department.

At the end of the season is Valentine’s Day. Both The Barn and the Farm Shop have an expansive stock of gifts to celebrate the special day. Show your loved ones how much you appreciate them on Valentines with any of a great array of gifts, cards, chocolates, flowers, red roses and champagne.
